The short version: Mono helps you reduce screen time. Use it for its intended purpose, be respectful, and understand that it's a tool — not a medical device. If you subscribe to Pro, you can cancel anytime.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mono mobile application ("App") and website ("Website"), operated by Rohe Technik OÜ ("we," "us," "our"), a company registered in Estonia.

By downloading, installing, or using Mono, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The Service

Mono is a screen time reduction companion app. It provides features including app blocking, grayscale mode, focus sessions, and screen time insights to help you build healthier phone habits.

Mono is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing issues related to screen addiction or mental health, please consult a qualified professional.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Mono. If you are between 16 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Account

Mono does not require you to create an account. No registration, email, or personal information is needed to use the free version of the App.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Free and Pro plans

Mono offers a free tier with core features and a paid subscription ("Mono Pro") with additional features. Pricing is displayed in the App at the time of purchase.

5.2 Billing

Mono Pro subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. All billing, payment processing, and refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their terms.

5.3 Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store settings.

5.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, the Mono mascot character, and trademarks are owned by Rohe Technik OÜ and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Availability and Updates

We strive to keep Mono available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through the App or Website.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including EU consumer protection law).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rohe Technik OÜ from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

11. Termination

You may stop using Mono at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

12. Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions under the laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable EU law, including Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles. For EU consumers, this does not affect your right to rely on the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you reside.

Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Estonia, except that EU consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through the App. Continued use of Mono after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
